Koharu

The time is almost near for Koharu's graduation, it takes place on 12/6 at the fall MM concert finale. Koharu goes all the way back to 2005 when she was the only one that won the 7th gen audition. Right from the start she started to become a great singer and also all the craziness since Hello Morning was still on at the time and she did some skits on the show.

For me, Koharu was one of my favorite members alongside Sayu because they sort of became the "cute duo". Sayu was Koharu's mentor in the beginning probably giving her all these pointers on becoming cute and stuff. I guess as a parting item, I finally pre-ordered Koharu's shirt from the Nine Smile concert since it will be the only shirt of her's I will have.

Lets wish Koharu well with her modelling career, do you have a farewell message for her? You can put it in the comments, also other comments are welcome too.

My first HelloStoreUSA order

Last night came the big news that I was waiting for, the ability to preorder items from HelloStoreUSA. I woke up this morning to find this out and I immediately went there to preorder lots of items. The invoice below pretty much speaks for itself, see below:

$190 has to be the most I have ever spent on MM items. My other friend CatchFiveBats spent much more when it first open, $350. There will be some new items into my collection, not one but two member shirts and a microfiber towel.

You can preorder right now, but ONLY until the 15th of November, please read the info here: http://www.hellostoreusa.com/holiday-pre-order-information.html

Kimagure Princess out Tomorrow

The long awaited 41st single from Morning Musume is out tomorrow and I think the song is great, worthy of a #1 debut tomorrow. But the bad thing about the new single is that this will be Koharu's last single since she graduates in December. Koharu had a great run with MM, she's funny, can be wacky and go crazy, but most of all she's a good singer and she will be missed. She is sure to have a great modeling career I think.

My order for the single got shipped out yesterday. I ordered the C version with 10 interchangeable covers rather than the A or B version which just has a DVD.

C version cover:

What are your thoughts on the single? Will it make #1? We will find out tomorrow.

Also please support Morning Musume and buy the single, you can buy it at cdjapan, HMV, and yesasia. You can also download it legally on iTunes and Japanfiles (Japanfiles downloads are for people in the US, Canada and Mexico only)

MM 40th single anniversary shirt

After months of waiting, Ohta finally sent the MM 40th anniversary shirt out. This was a shirt you could only get in Japan through a Japanese TV guide magazine.

German Text

Maybe my German friend can give me a translation of the German text that is on the shirt. He's helped me with translations in the past. I'll see if he is online tomorrow and he can give it to me. I'll put it here when I get it.

Also, HelloStoreUSA set up a twitter account so you can follow their updates for when new items come in, site problems, etc. Follow them on twitter at @HelloStoreUSA

New blog URL

After like 2 hours trying to figure it all out, my blog now has it's own URL. Previously, my address was usa-chan-peace.blogspot.com, now it's a custom URL that pertains to the title of my blog.

it's now "momoshpblog.com". If you still click on the old address, it will redirect you to the new URL. I had the old address for 4 years and it was time for me to get my own URL which should make me more noticeable.

now it's time for me to sleep...

My Day with Mozenator

Today was the day I got to finally meet a H!P fan in the NYC area. He goes by Mozenator online and we had a great time together. I'll try to tell the story as best I can.

We met at Grand Central at 10:40am. Introduced myself and then we went off to the bookoff to look around. He told me about some other JPOP artists that he likes. We didn't buy anything there, so we went to Kinokuniya next. He did not know about this place so I showed him where it was and we went in. Once we got in, he saw the magazines and went right to them. He tells me he is a "magazine whore", i'll admit I am kind of one myself. We went upstairs and looked at more CD's. He told me a little bit about AKB48, and that he went to the free concert last weekend. He showed me some of his favorite members. He was amazed at the store nonetheless. Then we went to Asahiya and again went straight to the magazines, this place keeps current on magazine titles so I go here to get them. I bought 4 of them ranging from video games to technology. But I have some bad news about Asahiya, i'm sorry to say that they are closing the New York location due to "certain circumstances". Apparently I overlooked the notice at the front door and found out after checking out. I was like "WTF, now where will I get current Japanese magazines?" They will close on October 31st. We were both in awe about it, he said he will go back again in a couple weeks before they close and get some goods. I got my magazines, he got UTB and C-ute's new single which I happened to show him.

After all that, we left to have lunch and then went into Dainobu to get Japanese Chocolate and snacks. I got Chocolate whereas he bought Pocky. Just like the other 2 places, he never knew this place existed and he was happy to know that it was there. Then it was time for him to go to work, we only were together for about 3 hours, short but it was great being with another H!P fan who thinks alike and talks alike too. Maybe we will meet again the next time I go to New York.

I felt happy today, and that is a good thing.
